Jobber is field service software for quoting, scheduling and invoicing jobs.

Connect your Jobber account with Referral Rock using Zapier in order to:

Approve referrals when a referred client's invoice is paid or job is closed, with Customer Feed
Add clients as members, ready to refer
Send new referrals into Jobber as clients and requests, with Referral Routing

Prerequisites

Jobber on the Connect, Grow or Plus plan, which include Zapier

A Zapier plan that allows multi-step Zaps. Some Zaps below include a filter or lookup step.

To add your Referral Rock account to Zapier, you will need Public and Private API Keys. You can create them here.

Connect Jobber to Zapier

In Zapier, add the Jobber app and sign in to your Jobber account when asked.

Approve Referrals When the Invoice Is Paid

We recommend this Zap. Jobber invoices include the client's email, so no lookup step is needed.

Trigger: Jobber, Invoice Updated
Filter by Zapier: continue only if Paid is true
Action: Referral Rock, Feed Customer. Use the invoice's Client Primary Email Address. If your reward is a percent of the purchase, map the invoice Total into the purchase amount.

When Feed Customer runs, Referral Rock looks for a referral with the same email address:

A matching referral is set to Approved in every program it appears in
Referrals that are already approved or denied stay as they are
An email that matches more than one referral is skipped
The client can be added as a member, ready to be invited, based on your account settings

Feed Customer is safe to run more than once for the same client, so later edits to a paid invoice won't create duplicates.

Approve Referrals When the Job Is Closed

Use this Zap instead if you reward when the work is done, before payment.

Trigger: Jobber, Job Closed
Search: Jobber, Find Client. Search with the client's name or company from the job.
Action: Referral Rock, Feed Customer. Use the email address from step 2.

Check the client match
Find Client searches by name, email or company. If two clients share a name, test the Zap with one of them before you turn it on.

Send New Referrals into Jobber

This Zap adds each new referral to Jobber as a client with a request, so your team can quote the work right away.

Trigger: Referral Rock, New Referral
Action: Jobber, Find or Create Client. Search by the referral's email, and map their name, phone and address. Add a "Referral" tag.
Action: Jobber, Create Request for that client. Add the referring member's name to the request details.

When the invoice is paid or the job is closed, the approval Zap approves the referral.

Let Technicians Refer Customers

Technicians and office staff can be referral program recruiters. Each one gets a portal, a personal link and a QR code, and every signup is credited to them. See Set Up & Manage Recruiters.
